Vol.3 Expanding business globally while fostering an adaptable corporate culture

The job

The Corporate Planning Division does not specialize in any particular business but is instead involved in the company's overall business as a corporate department. Within that organization, the Global Business Development Department oversees important tasks such as considering acquisitions and restructuring as a company.

I am in charge of promoting PMI (Post Merger Integration: activities for post-acquisition integration) of Telesis Technologies Inc. in the U.S., which was acquired in FY2022. I have been involved in the acquisition from the initial stage, and now, after Day 1 (the day when the new organization begins operations), I am working on the local site to handle the closing (final procedures for the transfer of management rights) and facilitate communication with the members of the new companies.

Furthermore, as a member of the integration project, I am also responsible for task management of each function, resolution of cross-functional issues, and information sharing.

Achieving the ideal

Our mission is to expand our global business. We are focusing on the integration process to increase the ratio of global business so that acquired companies can start up on a stable basis as soon as possible.

Our challenge for the future is that the number of members who can respond globally is not keeping up with the speed of our business expansion. Through my experience, I would like to increase the number of colleagues in the company who can communicate with people from various countries. I would also like to see a corporate culture that actively adopts the good points of new companies and is fiexible enough to see change take root throughout the company.

The 10-year view

I would like the Corporate Planning Division to become more involved in each business as the brain directly reporting to the president, and to be able to make many proposals that will shape our company's future. I'm experienced with acquisitions and want to hone my ability to quickly and smoothly bring in new companies to join the team.
I would like to make the Corporate Planning Division the brain of the president and director. To achieve this, I would like to be a person who is always close to the people in each business unit and be able to make many proposals that will create the future of the company. I will also become familiar with acquisitions and bring in new companies to the team quickly and smoothly.
